My belief and philosophy

I am a counsellor, speaker, and fellow human along the healing journey. I love walking with others as they reflect, strengthen, release, heal and grow. I believe every person has innate worth and value and because of this, I know it is an honour to be brought into someone’s journey. I believe that we as humans, flourish when we have deep, meaningful connections and are able to be fully seen and known. That is my hope for you, in working with me.

Erin is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and holds her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. For Erin it is an honour to come alongside clients to support them in areas of life where they may feel a sense of stuckness or uncertainty with how to move forward. With her warm demeanor, Erin seeks to provide a safe space to feel seen and heard while also exploring new areas of insight, empowerment, and choice.

She has a special interest in women's mental health and is passionate about supporting women in processing their unique experiences and goals in the journey towards greater physical and mental health and well-being. Erin also feels a calling to support women during pregnancy and into the post-partum season of life. Through her own journey into motherhood Erin has discovered the importance of honouring and giving voice to both the joys and many life changes that pregnancy and motherhood bring. For those who find themselves navigating infertility or pregnancy loss Erin offers a safe space to process topics connected to this.

She deeply admires the courage clients exhibit when entering into therapy. Her belief in her clients leads to a nonjudgmental and relational approach that is rooted in Attachment Theory and Emotion Focused Therapy. Erin has also completed training in the Satir Model of therapy as well as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She has gained experience working in both private practice as well as in the public sector working with Child and Youth Mental Health. She has also completed a perinatal mental health certificate.

In her free time, Erin loves exploring the beach on a sunny day with her husband and daughters.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is an integral part of our work as clinical counsellors. Consistent supervision throughout our career is critical in ensuring we are ethical, skilled therapist's. Choosing a supervisor is similar to choosing a therapist, in that you are looking for a safe, supportive relationship- one you can be vulnerable and grow. In clinical supervision you will receive space to process cases, explore ethical dilemmas and dig into the person of the therapist. The goal of supervision is to continually grow in your skill and to deepen your personal therapeutic voice.

Kyla Moon, MAFT, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT) has been trained as a clinical supervisor in Systemic Clinical Supervision through the Canadian Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and is experienced in providing individual and group supervision of Registered Clinical Counsellors and counselling intern students.

Kyla works from a systemic and experiential perspective, offering a collaborative space to explore and process your work and the impacts it has. If you are interested in seeing if Kyla could be a good fit for you as a clinical supervisor and exploring your specific needs, please send an email below, with supervision in the subject line.
